1. Introduction
Welcome to Image SEO Analyzer (“the Extension”), a browser extension developed by LutforPro. Your privacy is critically important to us. This privacy policy explains what data the Extension interacts with, how it functions, and most importantly, what it does not do.
2. Data Collection and Usage: No Data is Collected
The Image SEO Analyzer extension is designed from the ground up with a strict “privacy-first” architecture. It does not collect, store, share, track, or transmit any personal, sensitive, or browsing data.
Local-Only Analysis
All analysis of web page images (ALT text, Title attributes, file names, image dimensions, Largest Contentful Paint tracking, Core Web Vitals, social metadata, and inline SVGs) is performed 100% locally within your browser on your active machine.
Zero External Communication
The Extension does not transmit any analyzed page content, image URLs, or browsing activity to any external servers, analytics providers, or third-party tracking networks. No data ever leaves your computer.
Local Storage for User Preferences
The Extension utilizes Chrome’s local storage API (chrome.storage.local) for the sole purpose of persisting your customized UI preferences across browser sessions. This includes:
- Light / Dark mode preference
- SVG Analysis toggle state (Include/Exclude SVGs)
- On-Page Audit overlay toggle state
- Smart Highlights hover tooltip state
- Custom metadata column visibility toggles (Alt text, Dimensions, File Size, Responsive attributes, CLS risk, SSR status, Savings estimates, UI tips)
- Infinite Scroll vs. Pagination settings
These preferences are stored securely and exclusively inside your local browser instance and cannot be accessed by any external domain, script, or entity.
Local Data Export
The CSV Export and PDF/Print Export features assemble reports directly inside your local browser memory using the data extracted from the active web page. When exported, files are saved directly to your local file system without passing through any network or server.
3. Permissions Justification
To comply with Google Chrome Web Store policies, here is the exact technical justification for the minimal permissions required by Manifest V3:
scripting: Required to dynamically inject the auditing script (content.js) and visual highlight styles (style.css) into your active web page when you trigger an audit.storage: Required to save and retrieve your visual display preferences and toggle states between browsing sessions.host permissions(<all_urls>): Allows the Extension to inspect and audit images on any website you actively choose to analyze.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy in the future to reflect new features or regulatory requirements. Any significant updates will be reflected directly in the official Chrome Web Store listing.
5. Contact Us
